Ohio Native Morgan Kohler graduated from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio, with a BA in political science in 2008.  She then went to law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, in Lansing, Michigan.  In law school, Morgan excelled academically and was on the executive board of the mock trial team.  During her days as a student, she interned with the Washtenaw Public Defenders Office in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the Butler County Prosecutors Office in Hamilton Ohio.

 

After graduating from Thomas M. Cooley in 2012, Morgan took and passed the first available Ohio bar examination.  Since being admitted to practice law, Morgan has continued her pursuit of knowledge and attended more than 25 hours of continuing legal education specifically geared toward the defense of individuals accused of OVI/ drunk driving.

 

Morgan completed the DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, and is certified in administering roadside field sobriety tests by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration.  This is the same training law enforcement officers go through, which gave her a leg up in the courtroom when contesting methods used to detect drunk driving. 

 

In April 2014, Morgan joined the Meadows law firm where she focused her practice on criminal defense and OVI/ DUI defense.  After 3 years with Meadows law firm, Morgan broke off and started the Law Firm of Morgan A. Kohler.
